A black mustang pull into the court yards parking lot. The young priest exits and moves quick to the passenger side and opens the door. He has to struggle with the person in the seat to get them out, once Iron succeeded and remove Hex from the car. Hex was wearing a child harness, due to the fact that he was trying to make his way back into the dark car...

Hex resembled a feline whom was inches away from being dunked into a flea bath. He twisted and hissed, latching to the leather seats of the vehicle. Once Father Iron tugged the leash, Hex lost his grip and scrambled to grab anything he could to remain in the dark vehicle. His long fingernails tore at the black paint as he let out a piercing screech.
"IS TOO BRIGHT!"

Sighing Father gave one final tug on the harness and pryed Hex off the car. "Now, Hex you need to get out more. It's not healthy to be inside all time." He tugged Hex to the middle of the sunny yard. "Okay, Hex, if you stay out here for at least one hour then i'll give you a special meal when we get home..."

Hex hit the ground with a thud, but due to his lack of weight and strength he stood little chance of actually overpowering the young priest. He rolled to his belly, his chin now grinding against the dirt as he pawed at the ground in a desperate attempt to hide. In the process of being dragged, his goggles became unlatched, leaving his delicate eyes vulnerable.
Hex twisted and curled into a ball face down while moaning pathetically.
"mygoggles!fixitfixitfixit!brightbrightbright!"

The Father feeling pity crouched down next to the boy, he retrived the goggle and placed them on Hex's head. After adjusting the goggles he reached inside a plastic bag he brought with him taking out a rat, he placed it next to Hex's head. "Here's a snack... Don't eat it too quickly I don't have that many." Father then sat down and pull out his bible to start reading.

Pink eyes widened once he caught sight and smell of the small meal before him. He took the rat between his teeth and crawled under the bench Father Iron was sitting on, wrapping the leash around its legs in the process. Eating noisily, he finally finished and began rooting his nose along the ground looking for more. His nose lead him to the bag beside the preist's thigh. He crawled up and balanced on the back of the bench before dropping down and tearing at the plastic and drawing strange reactions from pedestrians.

Not surprised by Hex's actions Father continued to read until the bench fell due to Hex's movements, knocking the two to the ground. The priest confused by what just happend just sat there under the bench for a few moments. "Um, Hex what just happend?" He looked over to the boy beside him.

The boy continued to root through the bag even when the bench was tipped over. He began knawing at another mouse nudging at Father Iron in attempt to find shade.

Father pushed the bench back upright and dusted the dirt off of his robe. He sighed as Hex attempted to use him as shade, he leaned down to untangle the leash from the bench legs. "Hex you need to be more careful... And patient." He took the empty shreded bag from Hex and gave him look that said that he wasn't pleased but he didn't do anything other than sit back down and resume his reading.

He crawled up onto the bench with an animal-like grace as he studied Father Iron's expression with curiosity. He sat on the balls of his feet, both knees pulled up to his chin. With no regard for personal space Hex leaned forward, his eyes darting from the book the priest was reading to the older man's eyes and then back again. He then pressed a dirty finger to one of the pages.
"Whats it do?" He asked, prodding at the bible as if it were going to become animated.

Feler chuckled a bit by the boy's curiosity, "This.." he said waving the bible in the air. "..does nothing, it's a bible, you read the words on its pages." He opened the book wider so Hex could see it contents. "You see?"

"..I..see.." Hex responded slowly, leaning closer and squinting in effort to have the text appear clearer. "This is the source of a priest's power?"

The priest smiled, "Probably not in the way your thinking of. It's more of a book that teaches you how to live your life..."
